Formed in Los Angeles in 1990, thrash metallists Tourniquet is a trio, featuring members Luke Easter (vocals), Aaron Guerra (guitar, vocals), and Ted Kirkpatrick (drums), the latter world Health Organization also doubles as the group's main songwriter. It doesn't subscribe to retentive after hearing the group's euphony to find out their tribal chief musical influence is Iron Maiden -- specially manifest in the galloping rhythms and ambitious vocal structures (as good as thought-provoking lyrics). But the trio is not your average metal circle, as they've been known to deconstruct their tunes and play "unplugged" shows, piece receiving favourable press from such publications as Modern Drummer, Guitar for the Practicing Musician, and Guitar Player. Tourniquet has issued six-spot releases: 1990's Stop the Bleeding, 1992's Psycho Surgery, 1994's Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance, 1995's Vanishing Lessons, 1997's Crawl to China, and 2000's Microscopic View of Telescopic Realm.

Patrick Swayze - Cancer-stricken Swayze Returning To Work

Despite dire reports about his health -- he has been receiving treatments for
pancreatic cancer -- and tabloid photos of him looking gaunt and haggard,
Patrick Swayze plans to return to work on the A&E series Beast,
published reports said Friday. In the series, Swayze plays an FBI agent whose
methods are so unorthodox that he is hounded by the bureau's internal-affairs
department. "I have searched for quite a long time to find a character that is
this multilayered, unpredictable and downright entertaining," Swayze said in a
statement Friday. Meanwhile, the TVNewser website reported on Sunday that
Nightline correspondent Martin Bashir will return to work after doctors
discovered a "small growth" on his pituitary gland. The website cited an ABC
News spokesperson as saying that doctors plan to monitor the situation from
month to month. �

Hip-hop duo Cool Kids garner buzz from MySpace

NEW YORK (Billboard) - The past few months have been very good to Chicago's Cool Kids.


After emerging from MySpace onto the national scene last summer, the hip-hop duo recently scored its first chart ink with the EP "The Bake Sale," which hit No. 152 on the Billboard 200.


The EP was initially released on the duo's own C.A.K.E. imprint last October but is out now via indie label Chocolate Industries, to which Cool Kids signed late last year.


The Cool Kids joined forces in 2005, when Evan "Chuck Inglish" Ingersoll found Antoine "Mikey Rocks" Reed on MySpace. Since then, they've been releasing tracks via the social networking site.


Further mainstream inroads were made late last year when their song "Black Mags" appeared in a Rhapsody TV ad. The track has sold 45,000 digital downloads in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.


"Our sound is basically us not wanting to grow up musically and still trying to make music that excited us when we were younger," Ingersoll says. "It's just us having fun with music. I think that's where we shine, because we don't have an intention of creating a particular sound."


Beyond online banners and radio spots, Chocolate Industries is making sure Cool Kids are on a busy tour schedule that includes opening for female British vocalist M.I.A., spot dates on the hip-hop Rock the Bells tour, a European run, and a hometown appearance at Lollapalooza in August.


Before year's end, the group is planning to release its full-length Chocolate Industries debut, "When Fish Ride Bicycles." To tide fans over, a new mixtape, "That's Stupid," is being planned for a summer release on coolxkids.com.

Singer/songwriter Bénabar emerged at the forefront of France's "chanson réaliste" motion, crafting uncommonly literary portraits of modern-day life informed by folk, jazz, and celluloid. Angelina Jolie: 'I'll Make Kids Change Twins Diapers'

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have revealed they will allow their children to be hands-on with the as-yet-unborn twins, giving Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh the opportunity to feed the new additions, as well as change their diapers.

Jolie admits she was stunned when she discovered she was expecting two babies at once, expanding her brood of adopted and natural kids from four to six overnight.

She tells Entertainment Weekly: "We weren't expecting twins... but we like a challenge.

"(Brad's) mom and dad are on standby to come out (to France) and help."

And she's determined to make sure her other kids are included in the twins' life from day one: "They're old enough to feel included, to change diapers themselves, to feed bottles themselves.

"We're trying to find ways where it can be a fun group thing... Everybody gets special time."

Jolie is expected to give birth to the twins at an exclusive Provence wine estate she and Pitt have hired for the summer.

Miley Cyrus Cancels Arkansas Concert

Miley Cyrus has cancelled a gig in Arkansas, just days after photos of her posing with a man seven years her senior appeared online.

The Hannah Montana star was due to perform in front of 15,000 people today for a one-off gig in conjunction with U.S. supermarket chain Wal-Mart.

But the concert at an arena in Fayetteville, Arkansas has now been scrapped with organisers putting the move down to Cyrus' "scheduling conflicts".

It has nothing to do with a 22-year old man then? Poor Miley, can things possibly get any worse for her?

Sharon Osbourne demands $1m extra to judge TV talent contest

Fiery Sharon Osbourne is demanding a $1m pay rise to return as a judge to British TV talent contest X Factor.

The 55-year-old redhead — wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne — is said to be demanding a $4m contract to return to the high-rated show.

Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue have all signed up for the new series. But Osbourne — who currently receives $3m for starring on the show — is still wrangling over contracts less than a month before filming is due to start.

Elba: 'Black Roles Are Impossible To Get For Brits'

Actor Idris Elba has hit out at the lack of opportunities for black English actors - because black film roles are written for American celebrities. The Wire star - who appears in forthcoming horror film Prom Night - finds it increasingly difficult to find parts that suit him. He tells Britain's Empire magazine, "There just aren't that many scripts around that call for an English black guy." And the Elba often gets mistaken for being a U.S. citizen - even though he originally hails from London. He adds, "When you play an American for long enough, everyone just assumes you are one. I shot 28 Weeks Later back in England and even they asked me to be American! "I talked to the extras in my normal voice and they said, 'F**kin 'ell, your English accent's good! I'm like, 'No, you don't get it - I'm from Hackney!''"
